Owen Sowerwine Natural Area Work Day
Join our partner Flathead Audubon on their annual work day to clear trails, mow grass, and pull weeds to maintain and improve bird habitat and recreational trails at the Owen Sowerwine Natural Area. The group will gather at the Kalispell Montessori School on Willow Glen Drive at 9 am. Bring work gloves, water, and appropriate work clothing.

Investing in Sustainable Agriculture for Watershed Protection Webinar
The Freshwater Trust is offering a webinar on private investment opportunities to protect and more sustainably manage agricultural lands to reduce their impact on water resources. Presenters will discuss their findings on addressing this challenge in the John Day Basin of Oregon.

Science on Tap: Saving our charismatic megaflora Talk
Join our partners the Flathead Lakers and the Flathead Lake Biological Station for their October Science on Tap talk, at 6 pm at the Flathead Lake Brewing Company in Bigfork. Rebecca Lawrence, Native Plant Restoration Program Manager with Glacier National Park, will present her research on whitebark and limber pine restoration. $1.00 from every pint of beer sold between 5 and 8 pm is donated to the Flathead Lakers and the Flathead Lake Biological Station.

Join our partners the Flathead Land Trust and MT Fish, Wildlife and Parks to celebrate the conservation of the West Valley Wetlands, the grand opening of the bird viewing area, and see sandhill cranes during the fall migration. Healthy Watershed Consortium Webinar and Grant Program
The U.S. Endowment for Forestry & Communities is offering a webinar to learn about the Healthy Watershed Consortium Grant Program. The program focuses on land protection and stewardship of land, with emphasis 1) on developing funding mechanisms, plans, policies, or strategies to implement large-scale watershed or source water protection; 2) building programs and long-term funding commitments to implement large-scale protection of healthy watersheds; and 3) supporting innovative/ catalytic projects that may accelerate funding for or implementation of watershed protection efforts.
