River to Lake Partners
River to Lake partners accept the Wetland Stewardship Award at the Capitol
Over time we have seen a growing ripple effect of neighbor talking to neighbor, building interest in the River to Lake conservation vision and investing conservation and restoration resources in the places they care about. The results are not only good for conservation but also good for maintaining a sense of community and the quality of life that comes from safeguarding a special place.
River to Lake partners and landowners work together to navigate through the many public and private funding options available to rural landowners. Organization and agency partners help landowners select appropriate programs and leverage multiple funding sources to maximize the benefits for landowners and conservation results.
Since 2000, the River to Lake Initiative organization and agency partners has been providing conservation and restoration expertise and financial options to private landowners along the Flathead River and at the North Shore of Flathead Lake to craft conservation projects that meet landowners’ individual needs.
By working together, numerous organizations, agencies, and farm families, together, have achieved successful conservation projects throughout the River to Lake project area.
